Domenik Zidov

Tuesday, December 18, 2007

Domenik is fighting out of Switzerland, representing Fight Club Zurich. Domenik has recently been training in Thailand at Ole Laursen's Legacy Gym. Domenik (22W-15L-20KO) admits that he's quite inexperienced compared with the other fighters, that he's got nothing to lose, and that he just wants to make it into the second round of the competition.

Zidov Dominik arrives to add a new dimension to The Contender Asia, and not merely to add another nationality. The Croat nicknamed ‘Akuma’ (meaning Devil in Japanese) trains at Legacy Gym under manager/fighter Ole Baguio Laursen where his raw skills continue to be honed to a deadly degree. Domiciled in Zurich, Switzerland, the 26yearold is the 2006 Swiss Sanda Champion as well as the current Swiss Muay Thai Champion. Boasting a professional fight record of 23 wins and 6 losses from 29 fights, including 17 KOs, Zidov is a dark horse that will be gaining fans with his every fight. His grounding in mixed martial arts and kickboxing served him well in his amateur days where he chalked up 9 wins and 3 losses, including 2 TKOs. At 180cm, Zidov delivers raw power from a 70kg frame that makes him a formidable opponent in the middleweight category.
